Calling all Green Poets - NCR, Regions 3, 4A
Join DENR EMB’s Green Poetry Contest and get a chance to share your poem towards a greener future. 

1. The competition is open to everyone, poet and writers with published or unpublished works residing in the National Capital Region, and Regions 3 and 4A.
2. All poems must be 30 lines or fewer written in either Filipino, English or Taglish. 
3. All interested participants must submit their original poem using the theme, “The future is green. Learn it. Live it.” with the following format:
       · Microsoft word;
       · Normal Margins;
       · Font style- Arial Size 12, double space; and
       · 8.5” X 13”, 2 columns.
4. Entries must be submitted to along with the following information on or before April 6, 2018
        a. Full Name 
        b. Pen Name (if applicable)
        c. Age
        d. Home Address
        e. Contact Nos.
        f. Email Address
5. Multiple entries are accepted.
6. Three (3) major winners and three (3) consolation prizes will be awarded to winning entries. Prizes include:
      Php 10,000 – First Prize
      Php 7,000 – Second Prize
      Php 5,000 – Third Prize
      Three consolation prizes of Php 3,000 each
7. Criteria for Judging:
        Relevance to the theme 45%
        Grammar and Style 30%
        Impact 25%
        TOTAL 100%
8. A Board of Judges for the Search will be organized whose decision shall be final and unappealable. Awardees will be recognized on April as part of the Earth Day/Earth Month celebrations.
9. Winners will be notified through their email addresses.
10. Employees of EMB Central Office, including their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining the contest.
11. All poems and stories remain the property of the writers who have written or created their works. Winning and non-winning entries to the contest will form part of the educational resources of the EMB-DENR, and it is understood that such are allowed by the contestants to be used in the continuing environmental awareness and education programs of the EMB -DENR.
